Take a look through my #weekendwindow

This weekend has mostly been spent making a start on packing up the living room as the builders have finished the footings/groundwork/foundations (whatever you call it!) so now the building of the extension starts which means it's getting nearer to the time of them actually knocking through! Up until now it hasn't been too messy, dusty yes which is why I've given up dusting as it was coming back as quickly as I was wiping it away! Good job I don't have an OCD eh! You can read more about our extension here and see pictures here and here! This week see's the start of week 4 and they said it will take 10-12 weeks to complete.

I've run out of boxes so have ordered some more from Amazon, I got a deal which includes boxes, parcel tap and bubble wrap so just have to wait for that to arrive now before I can do anymore.

On Saturday Ellie went to cheer camp with her cheerleading squad, she had a really good time and learnt lots of new things so came back buzzing! She's now packing ready to go to Ireland with her dad for a week. I hate it when she goes as it feels like I've lost my right arm when she's not here. Oh well she will have a great time and be home again before we know it.

Hubby went to cattle market on Saturday and brought more heifers to add to our brood! They are coming along nicely now and we have moved some of the older ones to put them with the bull which means we should have our first babies next year! So exciting!!

I've spent the day today sorting through Lexie's 3-6 month clothes and bagging them up and getting her 6-9 month ones out and put away in her drawers! I can't believe she's growing so fast! I've also started her on 2 means a day this weekend too so she now has breakfast as well as dinner. I puréed some fruit and veg and freezed it. I think I'll introduce chicken this week too.

Lexie is getting really steady sitting up by herself now too!

Hope everyone had a good weekend :) x

  1. Building work can be a massive upheaval but it's worth it in the end. I empathise as my husband is a builder and so I know how it can feel for the clients but if you have good builders they will try to keep the disruption to a minimum.

  9. Ahh building work, I remember that! Weeks and weeks of dust and whenever you cleaned it away more appeared. It was all so worth it though. Your extension will be fabulous I'm sure :)

  11. When you are doing a big job like that there's no point dusting till it's done. We ended up having more dust for weeks after knocking through our kitchen.
