Water Babies Underwater Photoshoot

Lexie had her underwater shoot with Water Babies today and she did fantastically!

The shoot was at a different pool to where we have our lessons but it was in a local town about 30 minutes drive so not too bad.

We arrived half an hour before our time and were met by the lovely staff at Water Babies who had put on nibbles and drinks for whilst we waited to go and get change (this was also where we waited after the shoot to view the photos).

When it was our time we were taken to the changing rooms to get ready.

By this stage I was quite nervous as I'd overheard a conversation in the waiting area about the teachers doing the underwater part with the babies rather than the parents and the time underwater being quite a bit longer underwater than we do in lessons. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I think I thought I was dunking her!

My nerves didn't last long though as the shoot was like a normal lesson apart from they had an underwater backdrop set up at one end of the pool and the staff were so lovely that when it was our turn for our first underwater picture I felt very confident handing Lexie over.

I then went behind the photographer and gave Lexie the cue words so she knew what was going to happen and under she went then I went and greeted her when she came back up. I don't think she was under anymore than the time we do in lessons either which reassured me further!

After all the babies had done a picture underwater the lesson resumed and the babies then did 2 further pictures between having lots of fun and the lesson then finished.

We got dressed and headed back to the waiting area where we waited to be called to see our pictures on the computer.

We had a total of 9 pictures to view from the 3 shoots so it was quite easy to narrow it down to 3 then came the hard bit. The pictures were quite expensive but totally amazing and worth every penny especially when you take into account the equipment and lighting etc.
There was no hard sell which I liked.

We opted for 2 digital images on a USB totalling £249 but we get full copyright with them so we can do as we like.

I can't wait to receive them and share my little water baby with everyone.

Fab fab day :)

    1. Hi Bethan, Yes pretty expensive. I uploaded the pricelist on my blog, that doesn't even include the editing! Luckily Lexie's didn't need any. x The course itself is £165 for 10wks!
