The first week of the summer holidays..

So here we are at the end of the first week of the holidays! 1 down 5 to go!
We've had a fairly quiet week really which I planned so we could just relax after the busy last week at school. We haven't had great weather this week, its been quite overcast, not sunny at all but still quite warm.
On Monday we had a lay in and just chilled out at home watching DVD's.
On Tuesday I had my nephew for the day whilst my sister was at work, this meant we couldn't leave the village as we couldn't all fit in the car! The kids just played out on their bikes, played board games and went in the paddling pool, they didn't stay in there long though as the sun wasn't out and the water was freezing!
On Wednesday we had a park day and grabbed some pizza for tea from Rico's, the local mobile pizza shack van that parks up at the village hall car park once a month. Its so yummy, they have a wood burner in a van and make it in fresh in front of you. I would go as far as to say its probably the best pizza I've had and the garlic bread is out of this world! Mmmmm!

Thursday was Lexie and I's last swimming lesson this term so my friend looked after the other kids for me then we met up afterwards and went for a walk around the village ending up at the park again! Then Keira had a friend over for a sleepover and Ellie went to her friends for a sleepover.
Today it has done nothing but rain all day long, there was a weather warning issued yesterday so we didn't plan anything. We had another DVD day and the girls did some crocheting, our neighbour is teaching them and they are both doing a blanket each. Ellie has really taken to it but Keira just can't seem to get the hang of it bless her. I'm not good at it as I don't have a clue how to crochet!

Lexie has been a little under the weather today, not herself at all. She's just getting over a cold and has had a few bad nappies today plus she is going through a development leap so is quite clingy so we've had lots of cuddles on the sofa today.
Tomorrow we are popping over to see my mother in law as we haven't seen her in a few weeks then on Sunday Lexie has her Water Babies underwater photoshoot which im so excited about, fingers crossed she is back to her happy normal self by then!
Have a good weekend :)
